Movie Time

Lights, Camera, Action! Movie Time has been the theme for 2013 Fashion Shows and Display Stand at SECC, Glasgow, and NEC, Birmingham in March

Katrina Stewart and I have been inspired to create costumes loosely based on some of the iconic films that have been enjoyed near and far over many years. I looked at each with very much a 'tongue in cheek' approach, and as can be seen from my garments for 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and Cabaret. The coat and outfit I wore on the Cat Walk was inspired by Liza Minelli's song, 'Life is a Cabaret', while my pirate hat and costume were influenced by the fact that there had been many notable female pirates - sheer flights of fancy!

The Display stand featured my hats inspired by, 'Thoroughly Modern Millie', Marilyn Monroe's iconic image from 'The 7 Year Itch', and Cruella De Vil in '101 Dalmatians'
