'Hatwalk' Creations Every time I have worked on a particular theme, which has helped me to focus my attention so that I am able to produce a body of work that is cohesive 2004 Chosen theme: Metal: Exploring notions for creating headwear from metal mesh, mesh- felting methods, and surface treatments to create effects evocative of metals, aged by weathering and Time - performed to the music of 'Tea for Two', from Shostakovich 'Jazz Suite' 2005 Chosen theme: Under the Sea: Inspired by fish, shells, corals, and waves, I created seamless hats and tiered felted accessories, using Merino wool and silk fibres that I dyed especially to produce painterly effects - performed to the calypso style music from the 'Little Mermaid' film
